ESPN's
Mike Sando on the season ending injury to former Bird, and current Cardinals TE, Stephen Spach:
The Cardinals might be inclined to make adjustments on offense after losing tight end Stephen Spach to a torn ACL in his right knee.
Injuries and inconsistent play at the position led the Cardinals to sign Spach two days after their Week 8 victory over the Rams. Spach made an immediate positive impact as a blocker. He also emerged as an unlikely clutch receiver with a 23-yard reception to seal the Cardinals' victory over the Falcons in the wild-card round.
I didn't know this guy was the backbone of a potential Super Bowl team.
Fifteen yards of production just cannot be replaced. What? He caught 3 balls for 34 yards in the playoffs as well?
Besides his blocking ability, Spach must also force defenses to roll the safety to his side of the field thus freeing up lesser guys like Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald.
Without Spach, this Cardinal offense is a house of cards on a windy day. Thanks Sando, for enlightening us Eagle fans of this catastrophic loss for the Cardinals.

If you missed it, Jake Delhomme basically handed the Cardinals the game in Carolina this past Saturday. For a recap check out this nice audio/video montage of Delhomme's huge embarrassing failure.
