The run-up to the draft has begun with last weekend's East/West Shrine Game and this weekend's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. The NFL Network features exclusive coverage of the event including team practices and "Path to the Draft" programming. Practices have and will be televised at 10:30am and 5:00pm on the network all week long. So if you're are an unhealthily addicted draft crack addict like myself, you already have numerous hours of practice coverage already recorded on DVR. Later in the week, I'll get to some of my thoughts on the players that intrigued me at the positions that will likely intrigue the Philadelphia Eagles come late April.
Until then, you should bone up on some of the draft talent if you haven't already. To note, Senior Bowl 2008 provided the stage that got Trevor Laws noticed not only by myself, but by the people who really matter, the scouts and coaches in attendance. The Senior Bowl is very interesting because unlike the Combine, players actually suit up in pads, challenge each other in 1 on 1, 7 on 7, and full team drills. It allows the observer to get a feel for what these guys are made of against the best of the Senior class talent. If your at all interested in the draft, I implore you to check out some of the coverage.
