A couple quick links before I go back to slamming 14 hours days at my real day job (why can't someone just offer me a bunch of money to blog full-time? Step up someone!)
- A Les Bowen article on the first day of veteran offseason conditioning programs (holy shit that's exciting!) on incumbent tight end Brent Celek. We're talking consistency here.
- Quintin Demps is ready to be your starter at free safety. For the sake of argument, I think he's going to be ready too. Screw the talking heads who have bashed Demps stock into the ground after his disappointing play in the NFC Championship game. Demps is a competitor and a playmaker - he showed it in college and gave us a sneak peak last season. I think he'll pay big dividends in the long run.
- Darrius Heyward-Bey is coming to Philly to workout. Please God no. So he can run fast in a straight line...big deal. The guy cant run routes and he was never very productive in college (13 TDs in 31 games), yet he runs a 4.25 and now he's a first round prospect. No thanks. Heyward-Bey also lacks the toughness to go over the middle and he can't block. Can you tell I don't like the guy?
- Cowboy Martellus Bennett blogs. MUST READ. Just remember that this guy went to college. During his first week on the job he's already blogged about playing checkers with aliens, ruminated on female farting, and the evils of leaving ugly bitches at the movie theatre. It's the highest comedy I've read in a long, long, time.
