Halftime Updates:
- Houston 14, Chicago 10
- Oakland 14, Tampa 7
- Minnesota 10, NYG 9
If you read my perspective post earlier in the week, I'm sorry. I completely forgot about Chicago/Minny. Here's the situation heading into the 1:00 pm games today.
The Eagles need a loss from Tampa (at home, vs. Oakland) and a loss from either Chicago (@ Houston) or Minnesota (vs. the Giants) to have a chance. It's going to be a day full of football for me, I'll be flipping through all three 1pm games, keeping my fingers crossed for the football gods to shine on Philadelphia for three hours (that'll make three hours total for the whole friggin season if they come through for us).
Should the stars align, the Eagles will be playing for the playoffs against the Cowgirls at 4:15pm. If they don't, well, I'm not going to say anything more than no matter what happens at 1, the Eagles can send O.D. and Romo packing and ruin their season of promise with a big win.
No matter what happens, this is a huge game for the birds.
I wish Tampa were playing anyone except the Raiders...with the exception of the lions. Having said that...if a freak accident occurs and the Eagles have a shot they will probably lose to the cowboys...its just the way the season has gone. I give the Eagles more of a shot if they have no shot of making the playoffs...you could tell I am a hardcore Eagle fan. ;)
Chicago just scored a TD on their opening drive. No score in the other two games.
10-0, Chicago. Still no score in the other two games.
Touchdown Oakland, they're up 7-0. Minny kicked a field goal, they're up 3-0 on the Giants.
Ryan Moats puts the Houstons up 21-10, but Garcia just threw a TD pass for Tampa to tie it up at 14.
