Six Inches Short?
When Reggie Brown was stopped inches short of the goal line on the final play of the game the Eagles' playoff chances fell from fairly good, to nearly impossible. I'd love to blame Brown, but that play was a touchdown if he wasn't absolutely drilled by two defenders. He was on his way into the end zone and anything short of a perfect hit would've resulted in a TD.
If you want to point fingers, and don't we all. I'll give you three things to look back on. Dropped passes (there were 8 of them, including a sure touchdown and a huge gainer on the final drive by DeSean Jackson), and dropped interceptions. Asante Samuel and Quintin Mikell let sure interceptions slip right through their hands. Stewart Bradley missed a pick six by about an inch.
Looking back, it'll be easy to lay this one at McNabb's feet, but that's not really fair. He threw two TD passes on that final drive, one was stopped just short by a spectacular defensive play, the other was flat out dropped by DeSean. LJ Smith killed at least two drives with horrible drops.
One more thing to harp on. With 14:05 to go in the third quarter the Eagles burned a timeout on a 3rd and 8 play from inside their own 30. Less than a minute into the quarter and they blow a timeout in that situation. If you didn't know that was going to come back to haunt them, then you haven't watching this team play for the last decade.
More perspective throughout the week. For now, I'm not altogether surprised, just extremely dejected.
I think you need to change the name of the website.
Three points? The boos are going to rain down on them next week, and they're going to deserve every one.
It seems since the name switch of this blog nobody comes to the Eagles side of things. What can u say here...
The Defense was great minus a couple dropped picks.
This wasnt Mcnabbs fault...he threw some bad balls but 7 or 8 dropped passes...not his fault. Brain dead Andy Reid calling 50 pass plays vs like 12 runs.... Plus his team wasnt ready to play...
Hes a f'ing moron....He realy is...I look forward to hearing the boos rain down on him on sunday. I am for Mcnabb staying and Reid leaving. He will never stick to the run...EVER..and as a result the Eagles will never win any big games against good teams.

I blame Andy Reid. The Eagles haven't had a RUNNING GAME since DEUCE STALEY LEFT. Look at the running backs REID passed on, the kid playing for the TITANS, Stewart from the PANTHERS, 2Running backs playing for the COWBOYS CHOICE and FELIX.
REID traded a 4th round pick for BOOKER from the DOLPHINS and he hasn't played this year.
EVERYONE knows in the NFC EAST YOU NEED A RUNNING GAME.
EVERYONE BUT REID.
