The first half of Wild Card weekend is over. Two road teams went up against weaker division champs as favorites. Both went home losers.
Being superstitious to the point of paralysis at times, this trend worries the hell out of me. No one is picking the Vikings to win this game. Hell, Vikings fans have such little faith in their team that
3,100 tickets had to be sold at the last minute to lift a television black out.
I haven't slept a wink tonight, and I doubt I'll be catching more than a few z's in the next 11 hours. I don't like being a road favorite when their season record on the road is 3-4-1. I don't like being a road favorite when the team they're playing has a better record. From every football perspective, the Eagles seem like a lock to me, but that nagging feeling just won't go away.
I guess the only thing that'll really put my mind at ease before the kickoff would be a reversal of the trend by the Ravens in Miami tomorrow.
This team has taken us on such a roller-coaster ride this season, I can honestly picture them stomping through the playoffs, or giving us all a kick in the junk with a disappointing loss later this afternoon.
I'll check back in before the kick off with a couple of keys for the game, then I'm going to be MIA until late tonight, win or lose. Enjoy the game, guys. There's nothing like playoff football, absolutely nothing.
I'm with you on the nagging feeling. gotta give the eagles credit -- their rollercoaster ways sure make things exciting!
good games yesterday -- darren sproles is a bad little man.
Looks like the Ravens have broken the curse. Feeling much better now :)
