No pressure guys, but win this one or you're through. That pretty much sums it up. By the way, I went to college with a kid whose father was one of the original hogettes. If my dad dressed in drag on the weekends, or rooted for a sad franchise like the Skins I definitely wouldn't let anyone know about it. This kid's dad did both, and he admitted it. Some people.
Back to business. Unfortunately for the Eagles, Baskett is out. I'd like to see Jason Avant get some work down in the red zone. McNabb seems to trust him more than anyone, he's shown a desire to get his head ripped off going over the middle, and he has better size than any of the other WRs on the roster.
More bad news, Kevin Curtis is doubtful and Todd Herremans hasn't practiced all week (he's listed as questionable). The run/pass ratio we've all been longing for is becoming more and more of an iffy proposition as the o-line just can't stay healthy.
On the plus side, the Skins will probably be without both of their starting tackles and Clinton Portis hasn't practiced all week.
Trent Cole is salivating at the opportunities he's going to have to destroy Jason Campbell. I'd love to avoid facing Portis, but my gut tells me he'll be available.
This is the same Skins team that lost to the Bengals last week. Two guys to keep an eye on in the passing game: Santana Moss and Chris Cooley. Cooley always seems to stick it to the Birds. Moss is always a threat to stick it to anyone. I'd love to see Asante shadowing Moss no matter where he lines up, but it won't happen.
This time, I don't care how they do it, I just care that they win. No matter what it takes, don't let the Skins end your season. Keep your eyes on the Tampa and Atlanta games. The Birds need a loss from either to get in.
Looking forward to this game...Tampa is getting beat 17-7 as I write this...so far so good for team destiny.
I wonder who will start today at wideout ? Desean /Avant and greg lewis in the slot ?
or Deasean/Reggie and avant in the slot ?
Besides Lito, I dont think anyone is more out of favor than Reggie.
Rightfully so..I hope to not see him on the roster next year. He drops too many key passes...
Brown was so good w/ Garcia at QB. Wonder why and McNabb haven't clicked at all.
I'd expect Avant/DeSean to be the #1 and #2. Brown should be ahead of Lewis, but your guess is as good as mine.
Garcia's going to win that Tampa game on his own. 20-17 now.
Garcia is tough...I would have liked to see him in Philly as the backup but you know there would have been a chant for him every time Mcnabb threw it in the dirt.
You ever catch the video of Garcia saying he wanted to stay in Philly ? The guy was crying. You should see if you can dig that up...
I really did like him here...
Mcnabb has been a lucky SOB here..every time someone has come in to replace him and the thought was "hey...this guy should be our QB instead of Mcnabb"...the next game the backup has sucked. AJ Feeley...Kolb...Garcia was great but they shipped him out of town.
Its over !! San Diego beat tampa 41-24....so Philly just has to win today and beat the cowgirls and they are in !!
Eagles are sucking hard...they blow this and the seasons over.
