Eagles will host a playoff game

It's the middle of the third quarter and I'm watching A.J. Feeley pick apart a shoddy Falcons' defense. This doesn't alarm me at all because the Eagles have already clinched the NFC East title thanks to the gutless wonder, Tony Romo. Romo's Cowboys lost to the 3-13 Detroit Lions 39-31. The Cowboys needed this win to stay alive in the hunt for the NFC East title and host a playoff game. The Lions needed to lose this game to secure the number 1 pick in the draft.

Long story short, Romo fumbled without being touched twice in the fourth quarter, then came up a yard short on a scramble as the clock expired on their last desperation drive. (No word yet on whether Carrie Underwood has dumped Romo for a more successful quarterback.) John Kitna outclassed the "Pro Bowl" quarterback, finishing with 306 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Terrell Owens had a good game, and Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones even congratulated him on the sidelines after his 4th quarter touchdown. The Falcons are now driving against the Eagles third team defense, I'd still like to see the Eagles get this win and take momentum into the playoffs, but Andy Reid doesn't seem to care. As soon as the Dallas game went final the regulars came out. The score is 17-10 and I'll watch the rest, but my mind is already on the Eagles/Giants game next Sunday, 4 p.m. at the Linc.
